We understand that there will be times when curling up in a comfy sofa and reading a book or watching a movie can be just as appealing as hiking in the natural park or drinking with the locals.

While we have made a conscious decision not to have any modern intrusions in your rooms, we have a collection of DVD's available to be viewed in the screening room and a library of books to peruse and enjoy.

If games are more your thing, board games and cards are available. The libraries are provided on the honour system and we ask you to return the DVD's, books and games before continuing on your journey.

Wi-Fi* is also available throughout the entire house and each suite.

The town's most famous attraction is the "Gruta de las Maravillas" or the "Cavern of the Marvels". It is arguably the most impressive in all of Spain and served as the film location for the adaptation of Jules Verne's novel "Journey to the Center of the Earth".

Opened to the public in 1914 (the same year as the original building of La Casa Noble) the caves are comprised of three levels incorporating lakes and various "rooms", each taking its name from the shapes or colours of the formations inside - the Shell Room, the Bright Room, the Shawl Room, the Emerald Lake.

It is incredible to think that this wonder of nature has been evolving over millions of years and continues to grow each day. It is a spectacular experience and shouldn't be missed.

One of the most enchanting features of Aracena is its "outdoor gallery". Dotted throughout the pueblo are works of art and sculpture.

Along side the more traditional architecture and monuments, these modern sculptures - many by local, nationally and internationally recognised artists - make discovering the barrios of the pueblo an absolute delight.

A testament to its thriving cultural life, Aracena has a purpose built exhibition space in the ground floor of the theatre, along with hosting art exhibits in the Church in Plaza San Pedro. Many of the bars also have small rotating exhibitions of local artists work.

The Sierras of Aracena and Peaks of Aroche are perfectly situated in the Natural Park that has been declared a Unesco Biosphere Reserve.

The hills surrounding the region are dotted with the majestic cork oak as well as holm oaks and chestnut trees, and along the various routes can be found waterfalls, spectacular views and many native varieties of flora and fauna.

Hiking and biking trails for all levels of ability wind through the sierras connecting the various villages. There are mountain bikes available for use at La Casa Noble on a first come first serve basis, or better still, have us organize a guide to match your level of fitness and expertise to the perfect route whether by foot, bike or on horse back.
